My first weather station up and running in less than an hour

The Tempest weather station was very easy to setup and get running. The only minor issue I had was with automatically finding a WiFi network. I ended up having to manually type my WiFi network and that worked well. I read all the articles related to siting even before the Tempest arrived, so I didn’t have to do much experimenting with the running weather station. I thought there would need to be more calibration work done, but the only thing I adjusted was the distance from ground level. So far, the statistics and forecasts appear to be pretty accurate. Overall, I am very pleased with having my own weather station on my property.

Out with the old, in with the new

I've had a few tempest weather stations for the past 5.5 years. Looking at the data it produces and comparing it to others is a blast. The customer service is great, knowledgeable, and prompt. The station is on the pricier side, but you also get what you pay for, and that's a well-rounded product.

Great, just what I hoped for

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. All the other weather apps seem to be off by up to 10° so I would have to look at my old weather station which didn't have an app that would put the temperature in my phones status bar or have an ongoing notification or anything like that so I had to cross reference it's a data with the weather app. Now I have accurate temperature in my status bar and an ongoing notification that's actually from my house instead of in front of a bank or somewhere random in my ZIP code. It's nice having one ground truth that I can rely on to be accurate. The app is pretty great as well it has everything that every other weather app has except this data is accurate. I wish I would have found this sooner.
