Summer Squeeze Lemon Shandy All Grain Beer Recipe Kit

Great lawnmower beer!

This was easy to brew and tastes great. It’s a little light on the lemon, so I’d add a bit more next time. I also skipped the secondary fermentation as it was ready to go after 2 weeks and quite clear also.

Great service and products as always. I did not like the shandy. Mine came out more like a sour; light beer with very bitter flavor. I think without the lemon extract it would have been a great porch beer.

Better than expected

I don’t particularly seek out shandy’s but my brother wanted to make one so I said if he buys the kit then we can make it. It was fairly straightforward on the brew so no surprises there. During fermentation, it turned into a beautiful color when the yeast was active and slowly darkened as the yeast dropped out. It clarified fairly easy and I pitched the lemon mixture at kegging and gave it a few good shakes. The lemon wasn’t overly strong but gave it a good flavor. It was great timing with the weather and didn’t last long after carbonation. Will likely buy this kit on my own dime next time. Done in anvil foundry 10.5 with pump.
