Harry’s Original Blades

Original. blades v. new blades.

I have been using the original blades for years. i have been using the more recent razor and blades for a few weeks. It is taking me awhile to become accustomed to the new blades. In using both the new blades and the old blades I use a dry towel to remove the slippery substance that is intended to deliver a smoother shave. It impedes the process of achieving a smooth, clean skins surface. I have a "heavy" beard.

Fine blades by t no magic

When I first signed up for Harry's it was great. The razor blades were decent, the subscription saved me a hassle, and the mystery item in each package was wrapped in a Tintin-like package. There was a funny mammoth on the box, and allusions to Harry Truman as well. Charming and time saving. A good combination. Now it has become far less special. The blades are still decent, the subscription saves some time although I can find Harry's at any CVS, Target, or Walgreens. The charm is completely gone. Blue and bland. What was a special, smart choice is now just routine and ordinary. If Gillette offered a subscription it would be an equivalent alternative. I am disenchanted by Harry's, which is not a knock on the product quality. I now realize that I bought into this brand for reasons that were shallow and inertia is all that keeps me using them. They are advertising a new value blade set, now, but I never chose Harry's for discount products.

Hugging Closeness

I stumbled upon Harry's Original Blades because I forgot my other "monthly" razor. I bought the orange handle model because it was quick and priced right. I was so shocked at how well it shaved my head, it was like the razor was hugging my face and head. I haven't turned back to the other brand.
