the poles were even lighter than I expected. Assemnled easily, no issues with fitting sections together. Seem very strong. I have not tested them in high winds yet. I got these to create a standalone shelter using my tarp. I have only set it up once so far and I am really happy with their performance. Paria has a reputation for quality gear at reasonable prices, and these poles are a great example.

Adjustable Tarp Poles - First Impressions

I don't know if I will have the ability to amend this review at a later date, once I have used the poles for a while, but I set up my newly-purchased 12 X 10 SilTarp with these poles, and was impressed by their quality. They are well-toleranced and fit together perfectly, and their stiffness is great even with their length adjustment at its (maximum) extreme. I am a newbie when it comes to using a tarp, so putting one up with these poles was an experience. After struggling a little on the first couple of times, I learned of a better technique from online videos of the subject.
