Blue chip picks

I finally ordered a coupe Blue Chips, the TP40 and the TP60. Only been using them a couple weeks so far. The TP60 sounds very mellow, softer, on my instruments, to the point I don't care for it all that much. The TP40, on the other hand, sounds closer to what I've been accustomed to for fifty years, which is the old standard "Fender" pick. At this point, I do not hear much difference in the 40 and the Fender, so I would not opt for spending all that money to replace the Blue Chip. Perhaps a bit more time using it will change that, but so far I don't see the value.
