I have been using Black mountain picks for several years. I think almost from the beginning of their availability in my area. As I told Cole years ago I used to make my own flat thumbpicks then moved to the Herco. Then I got your heavy picks which I still use along with the “jazz” picks. Which a bit smaller although I file down the red heavies so both are nearly the same size. I have an unusual method in that I then tape the pick so the opening is closed and doesn’t get caught on the strings. This doesn’t prevent me from either flat picking or in my case mostly playing fingerstyle. The pick material is what makes these things shine. It is very durable and has a lovely tone. I highly recommend them in any style or weight and have turned numerous local players on to them. They are great and well worth the little higher cost.

I love the concept I’ve tried a few packs of these. The thumb ring and the spring are great; but the black material that plucks the string is too soft for me, and not slick enough. I would try some more if there was an update.
