Wonderful plants, horrible gardener
No actual problems with the seeds in my opinion, I just have a brown thumb and a rash of quails in my neighborhood. Most of the seeds got dug up and eaten, and the one that managed to hide long enough to become a sprout got nibbled and eventually withered in the sun despite my best attempts to provide it with the right amount of water.
