Great for the price

I saw the ZReviews youtube review of these just when I was looking for headphones I could use on a train commute. I was particularly concerned to get closed back design to keep out unwanted background noise without having to use any noise-cancelling feature (and to prevent my music from irritating passengers around me) and in this respect these do a great job, once the tunes are playing I can’t really hear any external sounds. ZReviews pointed out how microphonic the included cable is, and I agree, so I swapped mine for something decent but not excessively expensive, in keeping with the cost of the headphones. This immediately eliminated the issue. I have one pricier pair of planar headphones already so I knew the sound quality could be good, and for the price there is no doubt these live up to the promise. They are comfortable for the duration of my journey, but I’m not sure I would want to wear them for a very extended time, obviously there is some clamp pressure and maybe the headband padding could be a little softer or the band designed with a broader contact area… however, the sound quality is great, my music sounds very musical. These are not home listening room quality, but I'd happily use them at my desk, as well as on the train. I like the style too.

Driver Flex is real

If you weren't prepared for driver flex and watched the video on how to "fix" it then this may not be the purchase for you if you are, then its a good product at a reasonable price (once its fixed) The tuning is solid but the driver flex will be a major turnoff for a lot of people Can't really rate 5 stars overall beceause of it, but I think the sound alone especially a this price point is deserving of it

The Kiwiears serene in general is a very comfortable headphones with a warm lush Bassy signature and good details. It's great for popular music and rock
