Novus N6C 6.5" Center Channel Speaker

One of the reasons I went with the Aperion Novus N6C is that I wanted a center channel that could handle dialogue well without sacrificing the excitement of movies. The true 3 way design does a great job keeping voices clear and easy to understand, even when things get chaotic on screen. What I like most is that it’s detailed and articulate without being harsh. It has a lot of clarity, but it never sounds bright or fatiguing to my ears. The build quality is also excellent. It feels like a speaker that was designed to last, and its wide dispersion means everyone on the couch gets a good experience, not just the person sitting in the sweet spot. I also appreciate that it’s fairly sensitive, so it works well with a wide range of receivers and amplifiers without needing a ton of power. I’m running mine with an Onkyo TX-RZ70, and the combination has been fantastic. It has no problem delivering clear dialogue, plenty of dynamics, and the kind of impact I want from a home theater. Just as important, the people at Aperion have been great to deal with. Every question I’ve had has been met with patience and honest answers, and they’ve always come across as knowledgeable and down to earth rather than trying to sell me something. In a hobby dominated by big brands, I like supporting a smaller company that stands behind its products and takes care of its customers. That level of service matters to me just as much as the performance of the speaker itself.
