Fresh Chanterelle Mushrooms

The mushrooms were no longer fresh when I received the package. Fed Ex couldn’t access our gated community on Friday, so the package didn’t get delivered until Monday. I generally prefer USPS or UPS because they don’t generally have those same problems.

The chanterelles were not as flavorful as I had hoped, and the condition was mediocre - their edges were deteriorated and some parts I had to cut away entirely and discard. Disappointing for the price – $67 including $19 shipping for one lb chanterelles.

Arrived fresh and delicious. It was packaged carefully and shipped without problems.
