Personally I think the base is an absolute must. It gets the fire up off the ground to a more suitable height. Completes the look.

Pyro Tower

It's very nice. . sturdy and well lmade. . we haven't been able to assemble it yet. . it will go in our front yard area. . we live in Idaho. . waiting for a nice day to do so. When it's up and running. . I'll send a more detailed review. .
