Fool's Gold 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit

Far to hop forward for a stout. The coffee and slight chocolate finish is good but the hoppy punch in the face start is not.

The ease of receiving ingredient kits makes the process extremely accessible to anyone, including those who live in apartment and are limited on space for equipment. At the same token though, these kits do not overly simplify the process, so you are still experiencing a true home brew scenario. These kits allow the home brewer the freedoms to still customize and add or remove ingredients from the beer. What started as a gift and an notion to give it a try, resulted in a new hobby that is extremely rewarding and satisfying. Its great too for social events. Any time I'm invited somewhere, I no longer need to figure out what I'm bringing to the party, I just bring home brewed beer and its always well received.

Best non-stout, stout!

This is my favorite kit. I have brewed this delicious concoction several times. It never disappoints! I change it up a bit by soaking my own decaf coffee beans with the supplied cocoa nibs in vodka while the brew is in primary. Then add the mixture to secondary & wait a weak or so... so delicious!
