I was very very excited to purchase my first, authentic Japanese knife but overwhelmed with choices and information. I had been researching for almost a month when I discovered the JCK website. I reached out to Iwahara-san for recommendations for one that would work for both right and left hands. This is one of his recommendations. I also checked with other sellers about this knife and was told I made an excellent choice. I placed my order Thursday night US and it arrived Monday. Amazing! The packaging was secure, thoughtful, and clever. My whole experience has been above Five Star. I also purchased the magnolia saya to protect my beautiful knife. Follow questions also answered promptly with additional information to guide with sharpening technique. Iwahara-san arigato gozaimasu.
