RazoRock Stainless Steel Lupo OPEN COMB 58 Base Plate

Mild but still pretty efficient

This is a great plate for someone introducing themselves to the Lupo line and/or blade feel in general. It might feel more aggressive in the beginning if you are not yet used to blade feel but it feels mild once you do get used to it. It's very efficient for such a small gap but not as efficient as its bigger brothers, the 72oc and 95oc. But it's not nearly as aggressive as they are either. I've only recently tamed the 95oc...that thing is a beast! I've used the 58oc on my face about a half a dozen times and it's a pretty comfortable experience. My main use for it however is body shaving. It mows down a couple weeks of chest hair and other areas like nothing and does it very safely and comfortably. The Lupo OCs are more efficient than the SBs but the SBs are no slouch either. The OCs are also more aggressive. However the differences between the OC and SB plates of the same gap are larger as the blade gaps get higher. For example to me the 58sb and 58oc are somewhat similar but the 95oc is an animal compared to the 95sb. I also notice a pretty good difference between the 72oc and 72sb too. I would recommend the 58oc as a great first Lupo plate to acquire.
