Best rice I’ve ever had

We eat rice nearly every day in our house and have tried dozens of rice from different farms, distributors, and regions. This is hands down my favorite. Great tooth, smooth and subtle flavor, and just fantastic across a range of cuisines and dishes. How could we ever go back to something else?

Miyagi Sasanishiki, along with several of their other rice varieties, has shown me that rice should not be looked at as just a filler. Rather, it can, and often should be, treated with the same reverence as seasonal vegetables or quality meats. The individual grains are distinct and toothsome. It is an incredible experience eating this for the first time.
