The compass popped out of its bracket/frame in less than half a day of wering it. Extremely disappointing especially considering the price of this compass. I've glued it back on to see how long it holds, but I'm not impressed.

This compass is reliable but the claim that it's tritium is a bit misleading. It is only tritium along the front and back sight lines and the magnetic north line. The rest is phosphorus. At first I didn't even notice the phosphorus because it takes a good amount of light to activate it. It doesn't light up at all without light. Without a light to stimulate it you have to estimate the angle between magnetic north and the sighting lines to approximate a direction. Also the compass fell out of the aluminum housing when I got my band caught on a limb. Very thin flimsy aluminum. Thicker aluminium would be better. The main issue is that they should make this with more tritium lighting so you don't need phosphorus. That's the whole idea behind tritium.
