Viennese Earl Grey

A must have tea for me, but I do alternate

Thiis was love at first taste. Don't know why Darjeeling makes it better, because I do not like Darjeeling, but it is one of my 3-4 favorite Harney teas. Beware of overbrewing tho, it becomes bitter. 3.5 minutes tops and less than boiling water. Rebrews well.

A More Sophicated Refreshment

The overall flavor of Earl Grey tea is almost as varied as the theories surrounding its history. It has a heady, smokey, and citrus type flavor and aroma. I find that cutting and including small pieces of orangle peel, and adding them during the steeping stage produces an even more robust flavor. It's definitely not a morning or midday tea. But I do find it accompanies an evening meal sufficiently. It never overpowers whatever food one chooses, and there is never any aftertaste, as some other teas tend to suffer from.
