Duncraft Metal Safe Haven Bird Feeder

Very good Bird feeder

This is the 3rd time I purchased this feeder they hold up very well until the bears get a hold of them. However I do add additional support to fasten then to the Sheppard hook so the squirrels cannot nock them off.

The big birds can still feed.

The feeder doesn't function as advertised at all.

Everything needs to be improved re. this feeder! There's no way this keeps out bigger birds -- they just stick their heads and necks through the openings and decimate the seed (it should have adjustable cage openings)! In addition, the bottom tray doesn't work because it's just a bit too deep for the smaller birds and cardinals, so even the safflower seed builds up and stays there. Finally... the lid on this one was defective and VERY difficult to operate/open and close. I didn't have time to mess around with returning the feeder, but... I should have. I do have a few GOOD Duncraft feeders (thank you!), but this wasn't my only NOT-SO-GOOD experience!!
