Nice DAC
It's a pretty good DAC/amp for the price. It sounds and functions well. I mainly like that it has an independent volume control from the playing device. Although, be careful, it says in the literature it doesn't work independently with all devices.

Good portable headphone dac, but I'm using it for something else.
The device has the potential to be a great DAC, but my use case is a little different. I'm assembling a 'portable' music player to put in an automobile, using two Raspberry Pi, 8 batteries, an external wireless adapter and the Fosi Audio DS2 as the DAC. The finished device will be a little smaller than a shoe box. I wanted something simple, that didn't need a phone app for tuning, and the DS2 serves that purpose well. I was also something that had little to no amplification, because I'll be connecting to an automotive audio system. I'm not sure if double amplification is good or bad. Distortion is bad, and the DS2 should be pretty clean. It's not done yet, so I can't say that it's a 100% solution, but testing in the house is going well so far.

Not An Audiophile But Definately Hear The Difference
I recently retired my 20 some year old Sennheiser headphones and replaced them with a new pair and expected a big difference in what I was hearing but not much. I thought that I might get better performance if I used a DAC different than the default DAC that came with my computer. I did a lot of review comparing and decided my best bet for performance and value was Fosi's DS2. There were no issues plugging it into my Dell and wow! What a difference! Very happy with this purchase.
