Better than a Purple

I recently moved and previously slept on a Purple Mattress (Original). As much as the grid system moved with my body, it still felt too firm for me at times. When I was looking for a new mattress, I came across the Boring Mattress through reviews on Reddit. Much to my surprise the founders were also founders of Tuft and Needle and I had owned a Tuft and Needle mattress previously too! I felt they were credible and appreciated the small business angle approach they had. I ordered the Hybrid Boring Mattress and it was so comfortable out of the box. It doesn’t feel too firm nor too soft and felt like it molded well to my body. Rolling around is comfortable as well. If you’re a side sleeper, it may take some time to get used to the mattress though as it can be a bit firm when you first sleep on your side. Still, I’d recommend you to give it a try!

Too Soft For Us

We bought a King Hybrid based on all the great reviews that stated not too hard not too soft. I am 66yr woman 5'1" weighing 174. My weight is all around my middle and hips. I just sunk in, so that my hips/stomach were below my knees and chest the whole time, no matter if I was on my side or back. This was very hard on my body, I could not get comfortable and was in pain the whole time. My husband is 69yr 6'1" and weighs 160lbs and his weight is equally distributed, tall and skinny. He did not sink in like me, and did good for a few weeks and then he also began to sink in and be in pain. The delivery and customer service was exceptional and we were able to return with no problem after we slept on it for a month. If I was not so heavy it probably would have been great, but since I am denser, I need a denser mattress :) and we just prefer a firmer mattress. I hope this review helps.

Great mattress

I arrived here after being quickly overwhelmed when shopping for a higher quality mattress. I have a sensitive lower back, hip, shoulder, and neck when it comes to sleeping and this has been wonderful so far. It really does feel like a high quality mattress with half the price tag. You also can't beat the one year return policy so there's no reason not to try it. I got the adjustable base with it and it's also great.
