Mid Century Two-Drawer Nightstand

I'm so bummed out. The walnut color is WAY different in person than it is in the picture. It's a lot closer to the kind of oak you'd see in cabinets, more yellow-brown than a deep brown. It's also technically solid wood, but not the kind you hope for—it's cheap, weak wood with heavily-treated veneers glued on. The veneers aren't finished well (the edges are raggedy) and there's a decidedly cheap feel to the whole piece. I'm not anti-veneer, I have a beautiful veneered dresser from a different company, but this just straight up isn't made well. It took two hours to build, and I've had two screws fall out since I placed it next to my bed (which I can't put back in, because they're in the shelf, where a screwdriver doesn't fit). It's worth noting too that there are six giant holes where screws go into (and fall out of) in the side walls of the shelf, and the holes and screws are completely visible. I'm really disappointed in this piece, cannot recommend at all.

Love these nightstands! It is real solid wood and if you follow the instructions is easy to assemble. They are gorgeous pieces!
