Rosy tie front cardigan with options (PDF)

Very nice style. Had trouble with the neckline and couldn't do the tie but managed to finish it in spite of that.

Great pattern

Rosy was just the pattern I was looking for to make a small cardigan to wear over sleeveless and short sleeved summer dresses. I made it in black bamboo jersey and it looks great. I shall be making more to coordinate with other dresses.

Good but could be better

Firstly, PLEASE either remove the print preview of the tall pattern or add previews of the regular and petite. The petite has a different layout and you waste a lot of paper if you rely on the preview given. Now I know this is meant to go over another top, so it has a lowered armscye and more ease in the sleeve, but (for me at least) the sleeves are terrible. There is way too much fabric at the front of the sleeve, the back is fine. I have slim arms so I normally slim down the sleeves on Sinclair Patterns but that hasn't had much effect this time, there are is still excess fabric at the front of the sleeve with lots of folds and wrinkles. I don't think sizing down would have helped much but I will try that next time. On the plus side the instructions are excellent, as always with Sinclair Patterns, and the drafting of the curved front/binding is superb. I will make more of these but I'm going to redraft the armscye so it's the same as the Macy, and use the sleeve I modified for that.
