Really Nice Bag Just Short of Perfect

I've used this bag on two trips recently and it has been really functional. The luggage strap to sit on your carryon rolling suitcase is super handy. The bag generally feels nice and offers a good amount of organization in the pockets. The front pocket, in particularly, impressed me. The gussets allow it to expand much more than I expected and I've fit a good amount of stuff in there. The Good: - Stands up on it's own - Luggage strap is great and slips easily over a handle - Camera storage was more than enough for my basic requirements, but is very handy for general electronics organization while travelling (charges, cables, etc) - Side access is convenient Changes I'd Make: 1. The waste strap design is not an easy on/off. You have to thread the strap through the buckles that are attached to the bag. When you remove the strap, you still have those buckles floating. They have the solution, which they used on the included tripod strap: carabiner connections that live on the strap. Small loops on the pack would remain but be more out of the way. 2. Top strap attachment points make accessing, or more specifically closing, the front and top phone pockets difficult. The straps terminate right at the zippers and when the strap is cinched down at all those zippers bind. 3. The water bottle/tripod pocket should expand on the bottom as well. The zipper opens along to top and and down the rear side, but the bottom is sewn to the bag. That means when it's in use the pocket has limited flex out, particularly at the bottom. It also limits what you can actually put in the little gusseted pocket. Summary: No regrets buying this bag. I wish the top strap and bottle pocket were a little different, but they still work. I'll probably DIY the waist belt changes by removing the bag-side buckles and getting some aftermarket carabiner webbing clips. In fact, after seeing how nice my bag is, my wife bought a different ThinkTank bag.

Perfect for a International Trip

Purchased this (my 5th different ThinkTank item) to take a single body and 2 lenses to Europe. It easily held a Canon R5, 24-105mm and 100-500mm lenses, on a 16 day land/cruise to Amsterdam, Scotland and Iceland. It provided enough room for the extras, rain gear and more. Highly recommend.

Excellent backpack and perfect for carrying a small amount of gear. The room through the roll top is great for personal items or additional gear.
