Helix | Base Plates

The base plates fit my lenses perfectly. It's a little weird on smaller lenses (like those with a 67mm or 72mm filter thread) as it will stick out quite a bit, but the ease of changing filters and having one filter set for all my lenses is well worth it. Maybe some day PolarPro will make a lightweight helix mag lock system for 67mm and smaller filter thread lenses? This would be a great product for crop frame sensor shooters as well as people using tamron lenses with their unified 67mm filter ecosystem.

I attached the base plate to an NSI step-up ring to fit a 62mm lens for my OM 1 Mark II kit. I have a Peter McKinnon Series variable neutral density and polarizer filter and use it on four of my lenses in various circumstances. The quality is outstanding and the magnetic feature makes changing easy. The only negatives are weight and cost.

Such a great system for anyone taking pictures in changing conditions.
