Y'all... let me be clear, this is NOT a bad product AT ALL. Decent stay power, incredible coverage per dip and stroke, great shape on the applicator, true black that (as mentioned) dries to a metallic texture that is much like sparkling dark coal. My issues? Personal but certainly relatable. I smoke. I drink a lot throughout the day. I eat, and not like a lady. I do NOT do any lip prep. That said, this product always ended up more on my teeth than I'd like in order to get that full coverage (one person asked if I had a tooth tattoo lol!) AND *more importantly* even after the formula has dried, if there is even the thought of moisture ANYWHERE this stain exists, it will........dissolve away.... :( There are plenty of circumstances this is not a huge deal at all. But I picked black so it was noticeable. I will say, getting it on my teeth is likely because I am impatient and close my mouth over my teeth to let it dry. But it dissolving away anytime I speak for extended times or drink coffee without a straw is not my fave. Again, this is not gonna be an issue everybody has. But for me, it was a huge issue as I am looking to increase my arsenal of longwear lipcolor. This said, HIGHLY recommend the black liner stain. IDK if the difference is just it stays on the outer edges so less contact with moisture, but there is a HUGE difference in how badly my black lip fades with vs without it.

I’m currently wearing the black lip stain and it is so fierce!! I didn’t want to go fully black today, so I only put the stain on for a few second before wiping it away, and it gave such a nice dark hue to my lips! My lips don’t feel heavy at ALL and they stay on all day!! Honestly the lip stain stays on so well that my end of the day face wash has had to step its game up to compete. Could not recommend more!!
