Super Easy & Super Quality
Boots are true to sizes measured. Following the prep instructions to create flexibility in the Vibram soles was the key. This is the same Vibram sole as on my favorite sneakers. It took 20 minutes to put on AND have my pup jumping in and out of the tub as preparation for uneven surfaces, hot tar, stone, concrete and brick of HOT summer in the city. P.s. Both the Breeder and the Trainer suggested these to me, a first time pup parent.

Will not stay on
I recently purchased these dog boots and was initially impressed by the quality. The materials feel durable, the construction is excellent, and the boots fit my Border Collie’s paws very well. Unfortunately, despite trying every adjustment possible, I simply cannot get the boots to stay on. They consistently come off after only a short time, making them unusable for my dog. I’m disappointed because, given the premium price and the company’s strong reputation, I expected much better performance. The quality is there, but if the boots won’t stay on during normal use, they don’t serve their purpose. I really wanted these to work, but they fell short of my expectations

Worth Every Penny for Hawaii's Hot Pavement
We live in Hawaii and have an 8-month-old Belgian Malinois. During the summer, our asphalt gets extremely hot, so protecting her paws was a priority. I spent quite a bit of time researching dog boots before deciding on Ruffwear. There are many less expensive boots available online—some at nearly half the price—but many of them had customer ratings in the 50–65% range, often with complaints that they didn't stay on or wore out quickly. Since protecting my dog's paws was the whole reason for buying them, I decided it was worth investing in a quality product. I originally found these boots through a police/service dog supply website, but they wanted to charge $32 just to ship them to Hawaii. I tracked down Ruffwear directly and was happy to find they shipped them to me for free. Our Malinois absolutely loves these boots. Every time we pick up her leash, she immediately goes over and nudges the boots with her nose because she knows it's time for a walk. I only put them on when the pavement is hot, but she seems like she'd happily wear them every time she goes outside. The boots are very well made, stay on securely, and give me peace of mind knowing her paws are protected from scorching pavement. We also get compliments and the cute boots definitely soften the "serious K-9 working dog" look that Belgian Malinois have, and people are much more likely to smile and stop to say hello. One sizing tip: if you're between sizes on Ruffwear's sizing chart, I'd recommend ordering one size smaller. I bought the 3-inch size for her front paws and the 2.5-inch size for her back paws. The rear boots fit perfectly, but the front boots are just a little too large. Since she's only 8 months old, and her feet might still grow, but I'm probably going to order another pair of 2.75-inch boots for her front paws for now. One final suggestion for anyone using boots in hot weather: after your walk or run, rinse your dog's paws with cool water. I also use a short soak diluted 1% Chlorhexidine solution, followed by a thorough rinse and drying. Boots can trap heat and moisture, and damp paws can encourage yeast infections between the toes. A quick wash and careful drying afterward is an easy preventive step that helps keep your dog's paws healthy and comfortable. Overall, I'm extremely happy with these boots. They're comfortable, durable, stay on well, and most importantly, my dog genuinely enjoys wearing them. For me, paying more for a product that works well and holds up has been well worth it.
