Junia Parisian Dress - Linen :: Black

I'm short, so this dress is quite long on me. From the photo, I assumed it'd be a midi length, but it feels longer than that. The fabric is a heavyweight linen that is pretty substantial. When I first put it on, I assumed it would soften over time with washes, but it's listed as dry clean only. While I'd like to wash it to get it to soften up, I'm now afraid to do so because I don't know if it will shrink or if the only reason it's labeled as dry clean only it is to preserve the crispness. Because of the stiffness, the collar sits up very tall and consequently also feels a little large on my frame. I'm keeping it because it's a nice dress and if I wear it with heels the length won't be quite so much of a problem, but it loses a star for stiffness and not telling us whether it's prewashed (so we can wash it if we're willing to/want to lose the stiffness), or if it's not prewashed and will shrink if we throw it in the washer.
