Pretty solid and strong aluminum arm. Aluminum connection plate from the iPad side has something like a thin layer of rubber and it’s pleasent to touch. Magnets on the connection playe is also nice and strong, it holds my iPad like it’s nothing to hold. But there is a problem with the arm. It’s wobbling like crazy from side to side with a touch to iPad, even if it’s a soft touch. So, it’s better not to touch iPad at all when it’s an the arm
