Good unit though can be a bit confusing if you’re not experienced

I am new to the world of video production and bought the Satechi to help with port access and storage on my Mac Mini. Product delivers as promised but the directions are sometimes difficult/hard to find. ChatGPT did a decent job guiding me around but better instructions for handling and use would be appreciated.

Excellent product, but hidden costs and EU incompatibility are disappointing

The product itself is excellent: premium build quality, elegant design, and reliable performance. It works exactly as expected and fits perfectly into a professional setup. Unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly affected by additional costs and usability issues that were not clearly communicated at the time of purchase. First, I had to pay around €80 in unexpected import duties and taxes, which were not clearly indicated beforehand. This alone made the purchase considerably more expensive than anticipated. Secondly, the device comes with a US power plug only, which makes it unusable out of the box in Europe. This required an additional purchase (adapter or replacement cable), adding further inconvenience and cost. While the product itself is undeniably high quality, these aspects impact the overall value and user experience. In summary: ✔️ Excellent product and performance ❌ Unexpected import fees (~€80) ❌ US-only power plug (not EU-ready) I would recommend the product, but only with full awareness of the extra costs and necessary adaptations for European users.
