Excellent Case!

This is my second Modern Leather Case. I replaced the first one as my phone took a ride on the bumper of my truck and fell off on the highway. The case perfectly protected my phone! I was astounded that there was not even a scratch on the phone and the case was just roughed up. Didn’t hesitate buying a replacement. The only disappointment was not being able to get the same color for my replacement as the initial case was a limited edition.

I've used a Nomad case on an iPhone 11 Pro Max for many years. I recently upgraded to iPhone 17 Pro Max. I needed a new case so I added Nomad's Modern Leather Case. Why did I buy a new Nomad case? Several reasons: 1. After light brushing the old Nomad case it still looked new. So much so I wanted to keep it. 2. The old case had done a great job functionally. It had protected the old iPhone for many years despite my dropping it accidentally more than a few times and on hard floors. 3. The new iPhone 17 was a different size so I had to get a new case. Either that or keep the old Nomad case and keep using the old iPhone 11 - not the right choice. 4. Based on this experience I decided to stick with Nomad. 5. I looked at both the Modern Leather Case and the Wallet version. The Wallet version adds a flap which closes over the screen and protects it. I keep my iPhone in my pocket where it bounces around with keys etc and the screen was showing the wear. However the addition of the flap made the unit thicker and I didn't want that, so I chose the Modern Leather Case with English Tan Camino Leather. I really like the way it looks.. 6. But what to do about protecting the iPhone screen? I'd tried using a screen protector years ago but stopped because it wasn't sufficiently pliant which reduced the touch response of the screen. I was aware of Apple's continual efforts with Corning to improve the strength and transparency of their screens, so based on my assumption that the ProShield Screen Protector by Corning Nomad was selling under their own brand name might do the job, I bought it as well as the Modern Leather Case.
