Bad on me

This perfume smells so good on my husband, like warm spices and rice steam. On me, it smells like a nursing home full of sickeningly sweet flowers.

Riso (rice in Italian) is exactly the name of what the fragrance is trying to emulate: rice- a homecooked and familiar dish shared across the globe. I found it to be long lasting yet still soft and subtle. The smell is sweet and warm almost reminding me of a marshmallow or clean linen.

From the description and base notes listed, I was expecting a slightly more savory scent than what I got, but it might just be that my skin chemistry hid those notes more. I got the rice and floral notes with a slight zing of citrus, so it made for a pleasant fresh scent. It's very wearable as an everyday fragrance. I think it has a similar scent profile as White Tea & Ginger from Bath and Body Works, which is not to say that it smells cheap by any means, just that the scent itself has a similar vibe.
