Nicaragua - Medium Roast

I first ordered the starter kit and love ld Crio Bru so much I ordered a full bag. I love to add some Peet's middle ground to give it a little kick of caffeine when I need it. I used sugar free creamer and a splash of almond milk. Ice it down in my Bru mate and it good to sip on for hours. I will keep ordering

Great mixer

I did not want to completely abandon my lifelong coffee habit, but my doctor wants me to cut waaay back on the caffeine, so, upon discovering Crio Bru, I decided to experiment a bit with blending cacao and coffee. Thus far, the Nicaraguan medium roast has proven to be a great mixer, with a good strong chocolate taste that wont get overwhelmed by the coffee, which seems to have a stronger flavor. My mixing ratio thus far is 45 grams Nicaragua with 20 grams of coffee (10 grams Starbuck's House Blend Decaf and 10 grams Great Value Colombian Arabica). I use the French Press for the Nicaragua and my dinky 5 cup coffee maker for the coffee, then mix them together. I like it.

Replacement - much better

This was a replacement bag for the previous bag I bought, which had both an extremely strong, bitter taste (like the bottom of a diner coffee pot, if not an ashtray), and left me with the jitters and unable to sleep. I made it again the next day and took only a sip to make sure there was not something wrong in my preparation of it. Same result. Although the customer service rep assured me Nicaragua was recently tested, they kindly replaced my bag. This one was absolute night and day to the previous one, which is the Crio bru that I have been drinking for years. Thank you!
