Rich and delicious
we make our’s in a glass percolator on the stove top. We have been coffee drinkers for over 20 years and the switch was easy. We do mix 3 to 1 with the coffee, as we still enjoy the coffee taste as well. It is a little on the expensive side for us, but if the health benefits are as advertised, it will pay for itself after a month or so of consumption. So glad we found this.

Drink It Straight
Unlike some cacao flavors, I do not brew up the Ghana French Roast with coffee: I have found that it is best enjoyed on its own. At this point, I am using a 2:5 ratio of water (2 fluid ounces) to each 5 grams cacao. After ten minutes steeping in the French Press, I am pouring off the brew into a carafe then putting the grounds into a pour-over basket and pouring the brew through that, partly to strengthen the flavor, but also to let the pour-over basket remove the inevitable sludge that you get from using the French Press. Good stuff to take out on the front porch to drink while you watch the hummingbirds.

Everyday Choice
I drink Ecuador-as my everyday choice. It’s a lighter and brighter choice and now The Ghana will become one of my everyday choices -it’s more robust and to me more of a darker cacao flavor. I brew Crio Bru 3 ways- French Press releases a deeper fuller flavor, the Pour Over allows for the flavor to be released and the Espresso Machine on the stove- which produces a beautiful everyday cup of Crio Bru, I use this method the most because it’s easy. If I want to make cold brew- I use the French Press method let it sit in the hot water and the extract it the fuller body holds up to milk of choice and flavoring without losing the cacao flavor. I use Date Lady’s chocolate syrup (a little goes a long way) for an iced mocha. My other favorite is the Uber Dark- really nice, richer, full bodied and makes amazing hot mocha’s or iced. I don’t drink this everyday but it is one of my favorites and it’s for a day I want a strong Bru. Those are my three favorites from Crio Bru. I have tried many and every one of them are good but for now, I have chosen these three. When I had to give up coffee- I was a six shot espresso, small shot of cream daily drinker, Crio Bru has become a match to my old routine.
