X3 Outdoor Temperature Sensor

Great product not so great display

I bought two X3 so I could evaluate the location for a container pond in my backyard. I wanted to compare the water temperature to the ambient temperature. The two X3 have performed very well for a month now and provide the information I was hoping for. I do think the apps user interface needs improvement as it is difficult, and in some places impossible for a seventy year old man to read. Most of its graphing is in the tiniest text size. Font colors, on white backgrounds do not provide enough contrast. The Low Temperature, as example, is in a light yellow font on a white background, the results unreadable even to a twenty year old. Given the interface and hub can control multiple temp units, it would be nice if the app provided a way to track multiple thermometers, combining reports on a single graph natively instead of having to export data. The export function however is an important and appreciated feature. I believe a complete overhaul of the display UI would make this a five star review.

Temperature Sensor

The Yo Link folks seem to think of everything. I am able to calibrate thie sensor so that I can manage pool temperatures with my remote solar heat collectors where the switching temperature is some distance away. This results in more reliable temperature management. I also use the Yo Link float sensor to manage pool water levels. I put both units in an inexpensive waterproof enclosure. Yo Link products are very well engineered.

Pool Temperature

Installed my new X3 Temperature Sensor probe in my pool. It did an excellent job by accurately showing the water temperature on the sensor itself and I was able to monitor it remotely. Very satisfied with the performance highly recommended.
