these are great, but!

these are great, but i think they now run larger than previous versions — i wear an M in the older version i have in brown, whereas the M in black was a little too big on me in both waist and hips, and i had to size down to an S, which i rarely have to do with pants. i think it could be helpful to see more body diversity in the photos because i do think that helps when choosing a size. also, i might be in the minority but i did prefer the shorter inseam of the original, which i think works better with a tapered leg — with the black ones, i do have to cuff them. maybe down the road it would be possible to offer different inseam lengths? my dream honestly would be if you brought back the trail trouser in black, those are my ride or die pants, perfect length and perfect straight leg, and i do reach for those more often.
