Black High-Rise Pocket Bike Short

THE Compressive Bike Short!

This is the second time I've purchased these, so I know how they hold up. My old ones from 4 years ago are still great, specifically for spin. The new ones are definitely snug, but perfectly compressive and DO NOT MOVE which is what I need in a bike short for indoor cycle and honestly just walking around town or other workouts. Really happy with these, and my older ones that I've had for 4 years. Hoping they come out with more colors! The bike short without a pocket, however, fits much differently (smaller and see-through), so beware of that.

Great fit, horrible smell

Bought these shorts because I had purchased the same version a couple years back, but without the pockets, and loved them. I unfortunately have to echo what a lot of other reviews are saying and note that the star off is for the fact that these smelled absolutely terrible when they arrived. Even after a wash and a few wears, it's still clinging on. Very strong, acidic, chemical smell-- I couldn't even wait to wash them with the next laundry load and had to throw them in the wash immediately, because it was so pungent it was filling up my bedroom and giving me a headache. I definitely did not have this problem with my original shorts that are still going strong.

Purchased both a pair of the navy and black pocket bike shorts; exchanged the black for a larger size so all-in-all have had 3 pairs of these shorts in my home in the past couple of weeks. They all smell horrible. Customer service has been great and refunded my money but I feel compelled to write this review as I have tried. Several. Ways. to get out this smell and it does not budge. I have washed them three separate times, I have tried stripping them with borax and washing soda TWICE. I have washed them with special detergent. The smell remains. I think these would be great shorts but the smell is so bad, they are unwearable. I've never encountered a smell like this but once before with a pair of Lularoe leggings, and it came out they had pallets of them sitting outside in the elements and molding, so take from that what you will. I hope GC will figure out what the heck is happening with their supply and address it.
