Intrepid 4x5 Enlarger Kit

I appreciate what you all do for film photography. This kit, however, has significant issues. The build quality is quite poor. The light box ships unprotected, so it arrived dusty and scratched. When used as enlarger, there is a gap between diffuser and film so depth of field makes it less of an issue. But it turns into a huge inconvenience when using the light box for scanning. The timer uses non-detachable cables and a proprietrary connector. In an event of a cable failure the kit is dead if you’re not into soldering. It could have been USB-C. The biggest issue I have, though, is that I specifically asked whether the light box covers an entire sheet of 4x5 film so that I can scan and enlarge full frame edge to edge prints if I fitted it with a custom glass film holder. I received an affirmative response, which in the end happened to be not true: the light box is about 4mm short per side on the 5” edge. On top of that, the lead time fo my order was >10 weeks vs 6-8 advertised.
