Love the saturation and warmth of Kodak Gold
When Gold first came out in the 1980s, it was a leap forward from Kodakcolor in terms of saturation and colour rendition. It gave a lovely warmth to photos and of course it does the same in its current iteration. I gather that it's had at least a couple of "tweaks" to its formula since the first Gold.
I still love the classic film appearance that Gold produces. Its look is nostalgic and somewhat different from the clinical colours, etc that we get from digital cameras. The kind of colours that we remember from the days of 6x4 prints arriving through the post from the processors.

Perfect for a spring day
Back in the day I had a prejudice against Kodak print film, as it seemed to have an orange cast. Some people liked the 'warm' tones, but I preferred a film that didn't suggest we lived in perpetual sunset. This try-out made me reassess my views - the brick and tiles of the old barn are pretty much spot-on and the greenery around Mickleham Bridge are true to life. The backlit gloopy chocolate-coloured Thames mud of Rainham is authentic too. So... prejudice overcome! (But I still prefer black & white.)

Great stuff
Did great for some shots with my point and shoot while on holiday in Cologne, Germany. Also got a great deal on it. Thank you!
