The quintessential Black and White film
I have used Tri-X for over 30 years and no other film stock compares. I had a long break in that time, as the cost spiralled out of my reach, and used HP5+ instead. Recently the price differential has levelled to a point where I thought, why not shoot Tri-X again. I was not disappointed and as I have plenty of prior experience with Kodak's best loved emulsion, it was just like coming home. Skin tones are where I notice it most. There is a subtlety that has to be seen to be believed. I definitely will be using Tri-X as my go to film for all my needs. I rate it at ei200 and develop in Ilfotec HC 1:49. It is my all time favorite film bar none.

My go to B&W film
I have been using Tri-X 400 for a while now in both 35mm and 120.
Ive like the contrast it provides and level of detail particularly in 120 format.
Its also easy to develop at home and it seams to dry flatter than other films Ive used making it easier to scan or print in the darkroom.

The absolute best BNW for street photography!
It's slightly grainy, but in all the good ways, and still great latitude and for me, it's the best BNW for street photography!
