Great flexible fit!

After chatting with my mom about having trouble finding tops that were not too fitted or too boxy, I came across this pattern. It was exactly what she described and I snagged it to make her Christmas present. The instructions were easy to follow, especially with the video. I’ve been sewing long enough not to need it for instruction, but I still like watching because it gives me an idea of what I’m getting into so I can plan the project out in my head. The fit of this top is spot on, but what’s awesome about this design is that the drawstring is functional. You can cinch it for waist definition or loosen it for an easy-going flowy blouse. I almost forgot the best part! There is NO GATHERING! All that lovely ruffling and volume is done with circular pieces. Can I get an amen from my fellow sewists who hate gathering seams? I will be making this one again for myself. If you like patterns that sew up quickly and look polished, try this one!
