Water Leak Sensor 2, 10-Pack

As a person with very little tech knowledge I found these easy to install and set up.

Good tools for certain applications, not the BEST for all areas

I am fairly new to home automation, though I have a similar rope-style sensor built into the base of my water heater so I've got some experience with this type of unit. One of the ten units was faulty out of the box. The sensor read that it was "wet", then when the mode was changed to trigger when dry, it gave me a "dry" alarm almost immediately. And back, and forth... I moved it away from the base of the toilet I had it stationed at and got the same responses the next day. The company sent me out a replacement unit and I ordered an extra rope as well. With a new rope, it is functioning normally. I put one of these under a sink as well, where there is typically a high level of humidity and it signaled wet, though there wasn't a leak. I replaced that with a puck (Sensor 1) and have had no problems. So, all in all, I am very happy with the system, but I will only use the rope-style in "normally very dry" areas where I really want to be super-sensitive of moisture and I'll put pucks under toilets and in areas with more humidity.

Fantastic product at a great price

Love these!!! Slim - fits under my fridge. Built-in alarm. Rope sensor is cool! Can gently wrap around drain pipe and supply lines or just lay flat underneath. If any portion of the rope sensor gets wet, it alarms. The Smart Automations let you do a lot of cool stuff including shutting off your home water main with a bolt on control motor, so no plumbing needed! A really well thought out interconnected solution. Oh, the best parts - super easy integration and LONG range!
