This newer entrance allows more access for bees to enter the hive. Old one only had 14 options, and I found also that I could lift the entrance up leaving even more access for bees. I had so many bees they were banging into each other and that has greatly reduced with the new one purchased. Thanks

Replacement

My original entrance reducer became so brittle that the bees going in and out were breaking little pieces off of it. Replaced with a new one, easy swap out. Looks great again.

Super Honey Box

My plan is to run a two Queen system in the hopes to increase my honey gathering abilities. I believe this entrance change will be instrumental in my idea. Once I’m fully out of spring I will split the box with the dividers they sale for the 10 frame boxes and this entrance will come into play. Once I get a Queen in the second opposing side this should double my population and with that increase the hives ability to produce more honey.
