Lemon Pound Cake

Looked good but tragically dry

Love a lemon pound cake but this one was fatally dry. We thought about pouring a lemon syrup over the top to hydrate the cake.

Nice looking cake but unexpectedly small; however, it was very dry. It was not moist as it would be expected. It was served in the evening shortly after it was picked up so it could not have dried out that fast.

the flavors of both the cake and the icing were superb: very lemony, even a bit tangy.. The cake was slightly dry, but nothing a little vanilla ice cream couldn't fix.
