SSL X-Comp

My impression is that it’s neither good nor bad.

In Japan, I occasionally come across people who seem to be overrated—perhaps because of the prestige of the “SSL” brand name associated with large mixing consoles—but personally, I find myself wondering, “Is it really that good?” t’s not bad. However, if you ask me whether it’s really necessary, I’d say not really. I bought it this time because the total came to $9 with the sale price and an additional discount. Although the yen has fallen significantly in Japan, it was 1,500 yen, so I figured, “It can't hurt to have it as an option.” In any case, I don’t think beginners need to go out of their way to buy one, but if you’re looking to learn more or if the compressor included with your DAW isn’t up to par, I think it’s worth the investment at around $10.

This is a great sounding compressor with a beautiful looking interface. Easy to use and has some great presets to get you started quickly. Low on CPU as well
