Elevated soft comfy trousers
My Post Pants turned out even better than I’d hoped. I found the pattern quick to cut out and sew, a fun and satisfying make. The pattern is also educational! I never realised that my machine had a lockstitch 😂 And it’s the perfect stitch for the vertical seams. I found the pattern easy to follow, though I would consider myself an intermediate sewist, and I’ve sewn a lot of knit fabric and elastic-waist pants. These are definitely an elevated knit pant, the back seams and vents make them look classier than your average joggers or leggings. I’m 160cm tall and very short in my rise, so I shortened the rise 4.5cm and the leg 5cm for a perfect fit. Shortening the pattern pieces by 10cm made the pattern even more economical, and I easily cut all the pieces out using just 1.2m of (145cm wide) fabric. I sized down to an M as my ponte fabric is firm but elastic, and I’d read other reviews mentioning that the fabric could loosen over time. My waist size put me in the L range, but my hips in the M range. (I have a fairly low waist-to-hip ratio.) This worked out perfectly, and the pants fit well and are equally comfortable standing or sitting. I’m already planning my next pair!

Easy and polished
This sewed up so quickly and made such a polished, cute pair of knit pants! Perfect for elevated leisurewear.

surprisingly chic and sexy pattern
I had some bordeaux colored french terry hanging around for a few years and thought I'd give this pattern a shot. I expected it to be comfy and wearable but what I wasn't prepared for was how elegant they turned out to be. I'm now scouring online fabric shops looking for suitable fabric. I shortened the rise by an inch and will shorten the length by an inch on my next pair so the back slit will be more visible. They feel great on and look fabulous. What more could I ask for? Okay, maybe pockets... but I don't want to ruin the lines because I Love the aesthetic! Quick question - could I use a stretch woven - like a bengaline?
