Stays cool for about 20 minutes. When bending over, even a little bit, it makes a slurping sound and the pump loses suction so the water stops flowing. This is not suitable for staying cool while working unless the task is short. It is best for when you need to cool down quickly or when doing something that doesn't require much labor, such as riding a mower. To increase the time it will stay cool I would suggest using small freezer blocks, like the blue ones you can buy at the store. These water-filled plastic ice blocks supplied by Gobi melt too quickly to be real useful. Bottom line: It works best for when you need to cool off.

Ice pack lasts for 10-15 minutes at 95 deg heat. You'd have to carry a cooler full of ice packs to last longer. Once the ice melts, it just becomes a hot vest. Return policy is non existent if you used the vest. It has to be returned "unused".
