10" Green Beret - 25 watts

Love these speakers. Bought 2 of them a few months ago and tried to match them with various 12” speakers (Scumback, Weber) and it didn’t sound right to me. So I built another 2x10 cab to house 2 more Green Beret 10 inchers. So now i have 4x10 Green Beret set up. Sounds lovely. Nice and full. The crisp and snap and fast attack of the 10” and the fullness of sound because there is 4 of them. As ive messed around with different speakers and setups ive realized that simple is best. 4 of the same speakers sounds perfect and focused. Also don’t buy into the hype. I honestly think WGS makes the best speakers around. Very robust and strong sounding. They have their own great character. I prefer them to Scumback and Weber. And they are cheaper. Go figure. Get yourself some WGS’s and go have some fun. God Bless

10” Green Beret

I decided to upgrade the stock speaker in my mid-80s Marshall Lead 12. After lots of research, I decided to go with a 10” Green Beret. I have a 12” Green Beret in my Blackstar Studio 10 6L6, and love it. So I hoped to get the same magic from the 10” version. No disappointment whatsoever. It turned the little Lead 12 into a fire breather. All the mods and bottom I was hoping for. If I didn’t know it was a 10”, my ears would think it was a 12”. These are really great British sounding speakers. I’m very satisfied. Well worth the price.
