Great speaker at an excellent price

Exceeded My Expectations!

I have a vintage Blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb... a "real" '64 (AB763) I had put a competitor's speaker in it about 8 years ago and it sounded good, but, I kept thinking that something was missing. After doing a lot of research, watching YouTube, etc. I finally decided to try the ET65... prior to ordering, I was impressed by their return policy (if needed). I got the ET65 in & knew immediately from the "build" that it was a quality speaker. I installed it & realized that for my Strats, I would need to change the mid cap on the Vibrato Channel of the amp from 0.047uf to 0.033uf to tame the bass response that I had to add for the prior speaker (it was very bright). After doing so, the amp sounded fantastic! I now have very "tight" piano-type lows & the high end is not too bright. The mids are not scooped as was the prior speaker... they have just the right touch. (I might add that I have the 47pf bright cap disconnected in my amp... a very common "mod") Now, my dilemma is whether or not to order 2 more for a Mesa Rectifier Cab that I have for my Lone Star Classic??? The Mesa Cab has Celestion V30's which to my ear are too aggressive for the Lone Star. The ET65 is a really, really good speaker that exceeded my expectations!... and my experience with WGS has been great.
