Best lettuce

This has been the best Simpsn lettuce i have every grown . large leaves does nowt get bitter in the heat. Very impressed.

Very poor germination

I sowed 124 seeds in 1.5 inch soil blocks, incubated in standard flats under plastic domes, and held at 68 degrees (heat mat). Seventy-six seeds germinated, only 61 percent. Very disappointing, considering the conditions were almost ideal.

Very good lettuce

Simpson Elite is a good basic sweet lettuce, my family's favorite.
