Strawberry Blonde Calendula

Not strawberry blonde?

These germinated fine and are growing well. My issue is that the flowers on all four of my plants are not as pictured. They’re light yellow with brownish/reddish edges and do not have the profusion of petals in the picture. Even more annoying they never quite fully open…they just stay kind of cupped and then start forming their seed head. It’s especially disappointing because I was counting on these to self seed in the future but I’m not going to waste the space on this variety next year.

These are just bulbs right now but I can't wait for them to bloom next spring!
